Before June Ends

After months of watching french films..sleeping all day..eating like a pig..burning hours on the internet..taking self-portraits..selling old clothes..playing dead whenever mom gets home..missing kinsenas and katapusan..adapting dog gestures..re-arranging home furniture..fetching my brothers to school..planning our daily menu..replacing pillow cases..cooking like a monster and so on just to avoid boredom,
Finally, I got a new job! ^_^

Before it happened, I did a freelance job. It was work from home. Worked as a fashion writer for a website. It's a blessing! I'm still earning. But I guess its not effective for me..yet. Maybe just the fact that I like going out and meeting new people and seeing things changing everyday. And also, whenever I see my bed, I got magnetized easily. (that's the reason why I called my bed "magneto" and same reason why I seldom meet my deadlines)

I asked God if that's what He really wanted for me.
I prayed and sought for His answer.
It was never easy.
It was truly a test of patience, trust, and faith.

"Under His learning process is not a waste of time."

Aside from daily devoted time for meditation soaking into God's presence, my notes from our church pastors also guided me to set my perspective right under His will.
keep eternity in mind

It came just in time when I felt my mind, body and whole being is ready to get on the game again. To my surprise, I got two job offers. (magandang problema).
Both companies made an inclusive attachment to me -same suits my interests, nearer workplace and they're equally nice. They brought me to confuzzledness. (feeling confused + puzzled). Again, prayed which one will I choose. His will never fails.
Now, I'm currently working as a copywriter for an Advertising Agency. =)

"One way to make the most of your life is to keep eternity in mind."

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will." -Romans12:2

It only takes a stronghold of faith to start anew. A leap of faith to hold on what you believe in, will make your desires come to past.

Under the Weather Happiness

Being happy is our default mood attached to all occasions. We say, happy birthday, happy anniversary, happy easter, happy new year, happy father’s day, happy mother’s day and so on. We are supposed to be happy and being happy is not meant to be occasional.

It’s easier to be happy when you are caught in the moment of a celebration, success, cheerfulness, wealth, surrounded with high-spirited friends,
in love, and most especially when you’re living what you wish for...those are your sunny days.

What will happen when you lose it all? Where will you find happiness when you're not in those moments anymore?
Here comes your under-the-weather happiness breakdown. You're on your rainy day.
Part of it could be failed plans, depression, loneliness, unanswered prayers, brokenness, losing someone, crushed expectations, or rejection.

Happiness is a choice right? So you’ll try anything just to get back on your track. You get along with friends, travel, drink, waste your money and do things that will make yourself busy with stuff you think would cheer you up. After all the efforts to keep you sane, there's a part of you that’s always been missing.

"The happiness that won't only last during your sunny days or rainy days
is the eternal joy that comes from one source,
and that is Christ."

"You have made known to me the path of life: you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand."
-Psalm 16:11

Now you know where to find it.

How to Make a DIY Photo Collage

After pinning on Pinterest for a couple of months, I decided to apply what I learned from vast DIY projects. I created this photo collage poster from used canvas and old magazines. For a more defined output, begin with blank and white picture cut-outs. It looks more sophisticated. Here's my finished product. :)

Materials you need: textile paint, scissors, electrical tape, magazines, old canvas or if you have none you can use an illustration board, and good music background. ^_^

5 Easy Steps
1. Start with a clean canvas
Use the red textile paint to color the edges of your old canvas to give it a new look. You can use any color you want. What I like about textile paint is its compatibility to all crafty projects like t-shirt printing, shoe painting and etc.. Also, it is water-based so its easier to clean. I only use a toothbrush to paint this. :p
If you're using an illustration board, it's not necessary to paint it. Just choose a 1/4 (15"x20") size board.
2. Collect your pegs
Start browsing the magazines you have and start cutting out pictures you want to include to your photo collage. Another choice, you can also print images from the web or might as well use your pictures.
3. Make your layout
After picking out the best pictures, fix the photo layout to your canvas or board. Don't get so puzzled trying to fit in all the pictures. Choose what blends perfectly together. You can use the scissors to crop some images and fit them accordingly.
4. Fix the Collage
For a more neat layout, use the electrical tape to make an an illusion of framed pictures. Cut the tapes through the back of the board to stick it.
5. Brag It
Now, you can post it to your empty wall. Place it to your favorite spot.

Enjoy!
