Quit Overthinking


Over-thinking ruins you. 
Ruins the situation, twists things around, makes you worry 
and just makes everything much worse 
than it actually is.


It is inevitable for us not to worry much about our current situations. You tend to dwell on thoughts about your concerns, trying to figure things out why it happened or what could have been and making wrong conclusions instead of solutions to your problems. You have to stop. You'll only end up making it worst. Overthinking doesn't help. It will only increases your sadness, stimulates negative thinking, lowers your motivation, drains your energy and drives out your real focus. If you practice this often, you are allowing yourself to become more depressed.

Quit overthinking. Over-thinking ruins you. Ruins the situation, twists things around, makes you worry and just makes everything much worse than it actually is. 
This was hard for me at first. I am used to it. For work reasons, I have to squeeze some juice to come up with new ideas. I can't help to practice it as well for my personal life. The feeling I had with it was like creating my own nightmare. This verse tamed me.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:6-7

Start doing what needs to be done. Stop naming and counting your reasons just to avoid the thing you have to do. Pride is always the price to pay. You cannot get anything unless you pay the price.  

Accept the reality. Be true to yourself. You live in the present, there's no need to look back. What matters today is what you are now, not what you used to be. Let your past give you lessons, not room for bitterness.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. -Philippians 4:8-9

What are your worries lately? Just dwell on these things and put it all into practice
And last, completely trust Him and His peace will be with you.
