10..11..12

Those were not my favorite numbers, but the relevance of the number series is something to be remembered and sealed. There's nothing extra-ordinary that will happen today. Things such as the moon will be half-covered by the sun, or the stars will collide forming heart shape, or anything amazing that the world shall witness. It's just that the date today will never be repeated again. I just want to make something that I can look back. So, here's a short story out of my Instagram pictures.

In every splendid working day, she writes.
She starts her day with a daily devotion. Words that she carries all throughout the day.
Her outfit wouldn't be complete without her favorite coral red lipstick that will compliment it.
She puts it on, preps the day with much enthusiasm -ready to kiss the day good luck.
Her watch is 10 minutes advance. I don't get it.
It doesn't help her anyways.
She applies this quote especially during travel time.
She puts on her iPod and all will turn out good as her song plays.
When she can't help it, sometimes this slips through her mouth.
Mostly heard whenever she's unpleasantly surprised.
After work, she still manage to go out for gigs doing other things she loves.
Photography and Music.
Good shoes can take you to good places. That's why she invest for good shoes.
You will find her wherever there's indie music and to any artsy event happenings,
or to any restaurant that offers buffalo wings, vanilla ice cream and wintermelon milk tea.
Practice..practice..practice. That's what she needs.
Someday, she will have the guts to answer her call.
That is to make music for His glory.
Next to God would be her family, passion and true friends.
Special someone?..
Still in her dreams. Someday, her prince will come and wake her up with a kiss.
And they will live happily ever after..for eternity.

There! Hope you like it.

Define Cafea

_MG_6685 _MG_6686 _MG_6705 _MG_6724 _MG_6692 _MG_6706 _MG_6713

A place to chill near our office, Cafea Restaurant. The cozy-uncrowded cafe feels like home to me. I can slouch, browse the web unlimited with their fast wi-fi, can request for food without standing, can take a quick nap, can watch films, and can burn time after hours. I only tried their Serendipity Iced Coffee, a sweetly blended coffee fresh from the grind with vanilla ice cream and chocolate chip on top.

If you are looking for a welcoming lovely space that is meant for good conversation, lazy afternoon and serious relaxation,
there you have it!

First Trip of the Year Goes to Baguio

Every long weekend is a big deal for young professionals who work longer hours. To make the most of it, what you need is a great escape to a breath-taking-stress-free relaxing place away from jollibee (busy bee)hehe..Going to Baguio is a great deal. Aside from its cool weather, strawberries and veggies are cheaper, even the cab rate is very honest, artsy food restos are everywhere, jeje live horses (saw one horse with pink hair, haha..), nice view from the high rising houses (minimum of 3 floors), accessible swan lake, bikes :), one stop ukay-ukay, kamsahamnida peeps, random parade, and lots of ethnic and native stuffs. Here are my favorite pics from our trip.

A 2-day stay in Baguio with two fun traveler friends (Jairus and Ria) is worth it -to keep my mind sane and on-track, again. Thanks to Ria for making our itinerary. We managed to come across 13 destinations; TamAwan Village, Strawberry Farm, Burnham Park, Swan Lake, Camp John Hay, The Mansion, 50’s Dinner, Oh my Gulay, O’ Mai Khan, Mines View Park, Pizza Volante, Market Place and Ukay Paradise. And also for one memorable conversation we had on our way home. I’ll keep what she said. “You are a gift that is not yet open, you are a surprise.” and Jairus for his never ending diva lullabies, hyper energy and for sharing his Lolo’s home sweet home.
And, thank God for our safe and smooth trip.

More photos to come on my Facebook account. :)

What Im Doing Lately

Im still blessed that even I haven't had a new Macbook Pro, I now own a very beneficial and multi-tasker that kills boredom, new Ipod touch 4th gen. I called it Whitey simply because it’s white. I can listen to my never ending chilly, pop, techno, indie, contemporary, rock music which my sister and brothers would not play and plug into our house speakers,haha.. I can read various novel books which I can download for free, can meditate anywhere with bible on the go, can watch movies all over again and skip to my favorite scenes and lines. It serves as a game console, now I can wait 10 minutes or so just playing Temple Run and Fruit Ninja. I lost my guitar tuner, I don’t have to buy one because there’s a guitar tuner app that is available on iTunes for free along with guitar effects you can choose from, awesome. It increases my productivity with reminders that keeps me on track. Lastly, my favorite camera apps that take pictures like film, Instagram and Leme Cam. I enjoy taking pictures every day and anywhere possible and share it instantly with its very fast Wifi. Here are some of the pics. :)

Food Trips Around the Metro

Let's talk about food this time. Its been quite awhile since my last post about food and recommended places. I was planing to blog each restaurants individually kaso naipon na so I decided to post it all-in-one. I took pictures before I eat and I got most of these pictures from places we normally see or heard of or never been to. I don't eat a lot unless its interesting, vanilla ice cream, watermelon, chocolate almonds, mallows, buffalo wings, fries, pizza, pasta, chopsuey, adobong atay, tiramisu or anything that is easy to chew and digest. haha..whatever. Here are the five places worth hanging out around the metro.

Subspace Coffee House at Ortigas. It started from my photo day challenge theme, "your favorite color" then I saw their slogan "have a happy purple day". I heart purple and indigo colors.
1) I love how the chairs were hang up that way, parang walang gravity. The coffee shop and its interior is inspired by Korean culture. You can hear the SuperJunior songs being played and they sell korean cd's,too. Anyeonghaseo... :)
2) Take a sip to their sweet potato hot purple latte. Its my first time to taste a purple latte. Its very smooth and sweet with sweet potato after taste.
3) I guess its a fallen star from the hanging stars from the first photo. Gusto ko nga iuwi, buti nalang its silver kung purple yun..lam na.hehe
4) The gigantic light bulb at the corner of the cafe. The shop is brilliant.. *ting

The first visit: I was with my friend Ynah (who is working as a researcher for a food show at TV5). I work nearby so I recommend the place to be featured on their show. I was inspired to meet the brainchild of this hip tea business, the young entrepreneur and very pretty Kristia Bulan entertained us cheerfully with her stories on how the business came up. When we first entered the shop, the crew were very nice, matched with the aroma of the place that is so sweet.I can smell freshly baked pastry and brewed tea. They serve yummy tea's with affordable price, parang happy hour lagi. :) They also have fast wi-fi ideal for bloggers, student meetings and friends fellowship. They also provide wider space parking lot. The price ranges from 50-150php.
1) As promised, they serve freshly brewed tea always. Wait for your order as they call your name.
2) Im not sure if its Sensha Kyoto or Pearl Milk Tea. (nakalimutan na sa sarap. hehe). I first tried the Red Velvet Cake (not in picture) for free. Nakakakilig yung lasa, may spark ng strawberry blended with tea.
3) chirping like a bird.
4) the clever logo was designed by the owner.

Five Cows
at Trinoma
I was here with my friend Kidilets. The colors draw me closer to that place. White and pastels works best for ice cream lovers and happy people. ^_^
1) Start counting the cows on their logo. hehe. I borrowed the five cows' hat from a crew. *trippers
2) A must-try bubble gum ice yummy cream with tiny mallows and colorful chocolate crisp toppings. Instant kilig after taste.
3) Simple menu canvass stands out on white. Price ranges from150-350php.
4) Hello to their belgian chocolate peppermint ice cream cake. One slice is good for two. :)

Army Navy
at Katipunan
1) Mission Accomplised! -one happy customer
2) the glorious quarter-pound beef patty Army Navy burger. Fresh from the grill ang datingan because it was wrapped in foil. hehe. Hold the burger with both hands and take a big bite!
3) try also their onion rings and freshly brewed iced tea. You'll gain weight pag di mo pinigilan.
4) after bite. =p

Starbucks Cofee at Eastwood.
A mainstream tambayan for a good coffee and also known as "tambayan ng mga sosyal". haha. Im not into coffee..dala ko parin ang kasabihan nung bata ako "pang matanda lang ang kape, Milo lang pwede sayo". Only a coffee treat pulls me here.:)
1)The ceilings and air propeller. Future plan.
2) Christmas Special Peppermint Mocha awakes me. may spark.
3) Of course the photo wall. Red wall and photographs makes me want to stay.
(on photo: Kat and Yara -officemates)
4) My first move, read magazines. :)

Added: good place + good companion + good food = good conversation

WOODstruck!

Going back to the basics apart from the advanced high technology materials, let's go back to where they all started. Here are some of my favorite things that brought my life more meaningful -all made of wood.

Camera
For keeping my memories alive.
This is a organic wood camera educational toy from little sampling toys. Its a good alternative for plastic toys.

Shades
Because I love taking images outdoors and letting the sun shine on me, sunnies are essential.
I would be pleased to have one handcrafted Canby Pendleton sunnies from Shwood.
Click here to see how it was made.

Acoustic Guitar
My partner for more than 7 years never failed me. My guitar accompanies my creative sanity. It's getting old and need to re-fret, or maybe I'll buy another one. *blessings please :)

Pencil
For writing and keeping tracks of my mental randomness.

Bed
This is where it all happens. :)
One of the best things in life -a free relief from all our toils, sleeping.
I would like my room to be like this. I got this room inspiration from Gavin Daniels.
