Don't settle for less

You were my Christmas wish and my birthday wish. I waited patiently for you because I know you are right for me. You were not a surprise because I already set my mind that we will be together someday. I admit I was tempted to find someone that could replace you. He also has the qualities I like about you. He offered me things I want and tried to fulfill my needs.

Still, I can't get you out of my head.

And then you came, unexpectedly in the right place and in the right time. Thank God!
It was not an easy journey, but I hold on because I know you'll be truly worth it.

There. Kala mo jowa na noh? haha..trip ko lang sumulat ng love letter. I just personified my new blessing. Say hello to Kagat, in english bite. You know why? Think of reasons why you bite your lips. Oops wait..hindi yun! Simplehan natin, just the fact that may kagat yung appple. Yun na. :)

Going back, I want to share with you what God has thought me during the process. I know, maliit na bagay lang naman to, but it would be a good start in preparation for bigger things you want for your life. Be it a thing, career, health, financial, or relationship, I believe this will work in all ways.

Set your goal
Before anything else, set your goal. You can't run the race if you don't know your destination.
You need to visualize it and seal it with a prayer.

Power of declaration
Keep on declaring that you will have it. In short, wag maging "negastar".
This is what I learned from my church. Write it down and always say it.

Keep on doing the call
Do what keeps you breathing, don't do things that will let you lose your breath.
Wag ka magpakamatay para lang sa bagay na gusto mo. How will you enjoy it pag wala ka ng lakas?
Do what God has called you to do, Seek first His kingdom and He will do the rest. Keep doing things for His glory.

Unswerving faith
Patience is a must. Keep holding on. Consider it as a test of faith.
The more challenging it is the more rewarding it will be.

Catch it
You'll see favor will come upon you. All you have to do is to catch it.

Do you have wishes in mind?
Remember, don't settle for less.

Simple Things for My 24th Day

I'm very thankful that God allowed me to seize my entire 23 years of existence extra ordinary. I don't have any regrets kahit na sobrang daming memories na masaya, malungkot, masakit, abnormal..basta lahat yun burado na! I'm still grateful kasi those experiences made me stronger and a better person. I'm also blessed to have my church, my family and friends na laging nakasuporta sakin.

Sa mga taong nakaka-appreciate ng sapatos at damit ko, ngumingiti sakin, natatawa sa mga banat ko, nagsasabi na magaling ako (kahit sarcastic), naniniwala sa potentials ko, nagco-correct ng grammars ko, naghihintay dahil lagi akong late, naghe-headbang sa tugtugan ko, nagbibigay ng mga bagay na personalized, nagbabasa ng blog na to, naglilike sa mga status at pictures, nagtetext, nagtitiwala, nagmamahal at marami pang iba.. Lahat yun nakatatak, lahat appreciated. :)

At sa mga iilang tao na nakakalam ng tapang-tapangan moments ko, sumakay sa trippers ko, sumasama sa mga gigs, nakakintindi ng mga pinagsasabi ko na kala mo walang sense pero sa akin big deal, nakikinig sa mga rants ko, nakakabilang ng mga buntong hininga ko sa pagpigil ng mga luha ko at nakakalam kung sino talaga ako. Alam nyo na kung sinu-sino kayo.

Bukas, I'll be 24..so what? haha..Mejo nagpanic ako kasi nakadrawing sa journal ko dapat bago ako mag-24 may churut at naka-churut nako (don't ask me what churot means. basta! google mo). I asked Tery (my sister) kung anu ba dapat gawin pag 24 ka na. Sabi nya,"bata ka pa..ako nga 26 na eh"..Okay, deym.
Buti na lang yung wish nya sakin nakakaiyak at touching..nakabawi.

Sabi nila I look younger padin pero ramdam ko, hindi na pang-young ang mga gusto ko lately. Mejo nagi-iba na mga pananaw ko sa buhay. Mas gusto ko na ng mga simpleng bagay, mga bagay na hindi nababayaran ng pera. Something that will make me feel fulfilled and complete. Kaya ngayon palang, I'm declaring na that God will give me greater things, para maging daluyan ako ng blessings. It could be something unexpected, something that will make me more inspired, maybe someone, or anything that will change my life.

I don't have any plans yet, pero this will be mg peg for tomorrow.

Blackbird Fly

Durango + Me

I’m not yet over with the fact that Durango (my guitar) can no longer be in my arms. We've been together for more than 8 years. My younger sister borrowed it then someone took it away from her while she was inside the public toilet.

sana maging legendary guitarist ka. kung sino ka man.

It was my very first guitar. Mom gave it to me when I was first year high school. First meeting was not exciting because I really wanted a drumset. Mama thought me how to play it. I remembered the first song she played, “Blackbird” by the Beatles. She strums and plucks the strings gracefully effortless with her 70’s pop voice. While watching her sabi ng isip ko “ang yabang naman neto..”, haha..After that drooling moment, she handed me the guitar and said “pag-natutunan mo to, marunong ka na.”. If 9gag was present that time, you can see my troll face “challenge accepted”.
First song learned, “Leaving on a Jetplane”. Fail? whatever. I became attached to alternative music listening to coldplay, radiohead, vertical horizon, matchbox20, oasis and opm bands like eheads. Syempre, dapat you know their songs para cool ka when jamming with friends. Then I learned Blackbird when I was 3^rd year high school. 

I started using this gift for His Kingdom since high school up to now. Nothing is more fulfilling than that.I asked God why He took Durango away from me? (andrama...)

It’s really true that you never know what you have until you lose it.

Don’t wait for that moment to come before it’s too late.
Give your time and care.

The impression to me was to get back to my heart’s desire. To finish my drafts and make more time in writing songs. And most importantly, to stay on track to His will.

Now, I'm waiting for my new guitar.

Lord please give it soon. :)

WISHLIST time!

Making this post while singing along with Spongebob's “Santa’s coming tonight tonight..Santa’s coming toniiight..” excites me more for the coming merry Christmas! It’s the time of the year where everybody’s very beesy preparing for the get-together, shopping for discounts, wrapping gifts, and budgeting! Hopefully I can gather up lots of mulah. I wish I can take my family to London’s Eye. It will come but for now, I’m saving for an alternative route where I can bring them very close to my plan. And for my wishlist..,I know God will provide. ^_^
1) MacBook Pro 13” 2.8 GHz that will make my work life easier and faster. 2) A timeless and classic watch for everyday use. Hopefully my consecutive 10 minutes late would lessen.
3)The Union Street ubiquitous camera and laptop bag from ONA. This will serve as my utility bag.

4)The crappy montage look I made is included from H2T (head2toe). ^_^

when I saw this eye catching comfy sandals from a foreign guy during Meiday at Cubao Expo.

Now I am wishing for one. :)

The Biking Experince

I miss biking around the city streets. Going on circles, chasing with dogs and catching the wind, were some of the things that made me feel alive and free. I wish I can go anywhere along with my bike again. I imagine going to work, to the nearest grocery shop, nearest parks, coffee shops, library and taking pictures without fear. I want to live in a place where they normally practice biking freely doing it wherever and whenever they want.

Let's move to Amsterdam. :)

More than what I expected

The 23rd year of my birth came, so as the unexpected things along the way.

I love surprises!! God never fails in doing so.

Here's what happened.

A week before my birthday I created my birthday wishlist.
Posted things that is attainable, just to make sure I can have it all on my day. :)

The first and the BIGGEST surprise I had was a promotion.

Now I can call myself a WRITER because now I am doing it professionally.

Here's a glimpse of how HE moved:

It all happens one chilly afternoon in the office..while searching data for our website being built.
Our SEO specialist asked who can write?..

Chills became giggles of excitement..then I told him I can.

He gave me a product model then write about that in 250 words.

Owkey then.
So, I took the challenge. Started writing with high hopes and full of faith.

Passed the article and wait for the reply....1..2..days..

In short, Hello SUNSHINE and hello promotion. :)

Just amazing.

I wasn't expecting an early promotion from my almost 2month-old job.
This is His gift.
Getting the position was enough for me.
No more wishlist.
This gift is huge.
I am fulfilled.

But it doesn't end there, I was wishing for a 50mm lens..the package would cost up to 7k..then I was praying for this second hand item,that is almost new. If its for me, it can wait until my payday.

After 2 weeks..I got it half the price! :)

God is extraordinary.

Then on my birthday..some of my wishlist follows..bag, shirts, chocolates.

This is my new year celebration of His favor and goodness in my life.
God is so good, He have plans for us.
